Pink Sands Estates – Estates and Beach Cottage

In addition to creating the master plan of the 20-acre site of Pink Sands Resort, Touzet Studio was engaged to design a series of new estate homes, beach front cottages, and common areas for this iconic resort. This project was slated to be a LEED project centered on the design of an environmentally conscious re-interpretation of Bahamian architecture. The cottages collect rainwater, which is then cooled passively through cross-ventilation. The Tree Top Units resemble floating treehouses, resting delicately on the landscape to provide the feeling of dwelling within a tree canopy.
