This 5200 SF Luxury waterfront residence is located on the Venetian Islands and enjoys both open bay and city views, where residents enjoy year-round ocean breezes. The house is elevated, sitting lightly upon the tropical lush landscape, and the dramatic undulating roof picks up the breeze and allows for natural daylight to flow in.
This tropical modern house employs an innovative, sustainable design which features reclaimed materials, cisterns and solar panels, in addition to being the first house on Miami Beach to permit grey water recycling. This residence embodies resilient construction and design through its energy– and water- conserving features as well as mindful reuse of materials.
The house features a Devol Kitchen that blends old-world detail and craft with the transparency and flexibility of modern kitchens. Alongside the kitchen, the other main spaces enhance residents’ connection to nature and the views of the water. The bathrooms were custom designed to provide a spa-like environment that is serene, peaceful, and beautifully and naturally lit.

Miami’s design language is rooted in our sunny but challenging climate, and somewhat wild nature. It is lighter, brighter, and freer. When desired, it can immerse us in nature while still having protective boundaries from the sun, heat, and storms when needed.
At the heart of our practice is listening: listening to the unique dreams and passions of our clients and weaving their visions into the vibrant tapestry of our dynamic city. The client envisioned a home that was thoroughly modern yet grounded in historical architectural precedents; like many of our projects, 101 Hibiscus was crafted to respect past design traditions while capturing aspirations for the future.
